We are the fourth generation of a farmers’ family with a passion for this ancient work. We believe in the importance of safeguarding land, traditions and seeds. We are strongly committed every day to taking care of agri-food biodiversity, from field to table. We produce for those who definitely and carefully select the food they consume.

The care of the seed is an ancient and noble agricultural tradition everywhere in the world. It provides with a constant connection among nature, botanical laws, intuition and observation skills in order to link all these dots in the fields work and wide synergy among seed, land and farmer. We are keeping safe this tradition which we have inherited and that is leads us to very different rhythms from the hectic everyday life. We slow down in order to increase attention and awareness, and to give life to a limited production with strong organoleptic and nutritional features.

The concept according to which Nature is our Teacher is a crucial value for us, a thought born ten years ago and pinned on a secure sheet, among the notes dedicated to dreams, the ones to be realized. Year after year, the dream sprouted in the middle of the fields: sowing tests, experimental gardens with rare seeds able of regenerating into ears and grains which were disappearing in agriculture. The fast, rapid and often wild industrialization was throwing out researches and works led by farmers and botanical experts in the past centuries. They had no electronic and digital technology. However, they had got intuition, capabilities and observation skills.

At Agricoltori Custodi, we have decided to take up the baton of that ancient tradition. The care is an ancient tradition we have inherited with the aim to nurture the generating force of Nature, to learn how to listen to it and how to recognize it in its pivotal role as Mother and Teacher.
