Ancient corn
The corn in Central and Northern Italy is present since the first half of the 1900s, before the well-known American high-production yellow hybrid corn. That kind of corn was different both in the shape of the cob and in the colours. The strong germination capacity made them worth for the farmers who could tajke care of seed and pass it on to their successors.
